AWARDS – 2018

The Vaughan and Jones Trust was established in 1746 to provide financial assistance for the moral and educational development of young people in the Parishes of Llandegla and Llanarmon-yn-Ial.

In its modern setting, amongst donations allocated by the Trustees to local schools and churches and chapels, the Charity, at its discretion, makes individual cash awards to assist young people in higher education, or who are following a recognised apprenticeship.

In order to be considered for one of these awards, applicants must be under 23 years of age and resident within the parishes of Llandegla or Llanarmon, on 31st. March 2018. For full details click here…

Defibrillator unit

Have you noticed the big yellow box outside the Memorial Hall which appeared last week? Well thanks to a generous donation and funding from the Community Council, Llandegla now has it’s very own Defibrillator unit. The appliance is portable and can be taken to the patient but lives outside the Memorial Hall for easy access.

Let’s hope that this excellent purchase will never need to be used, but if it is needed then thanks to all involved in donating funds and arranging to have it in our community.
